I spent some time working away some errors from the source (non-zte) im using. I managed to get a kernel I made for the Galaxy Victory work for the Galaxy Stellar, and those are both the same type of board you have. That being said, I am pretty close to getting this done.

are you using the msm8960-hayes_defconfig? kuz that one boots for mouse and i. im able to build a working kernel from source but i have no experience modifying one

no, i was using a /proc/config.gz config file, which should be a carbon copy of it...but I think I wasn't accounting for ramdisk offset when compiling kernel. If you have a github setup, you can fork the kernel source, add me as a contrib, build kernel as test for me. I have a lot of things to contribute, things done on the VaeVictus kernel for Galaxy Victory which is a sister phone to you guys.
Also...I don't have this phone, but I also don't have the Galaxy Victory or Stellar which I have built kernels for so thats not really a problem other than the fact I need testers.

This is a super old bump, but is this a working module at this time? I was trying to do this as a module as well, but using a module from another msm8960 phone and I could get it to load and I could see 1.8ghz as a max speed but everytime I selected it, the phone locked up. I figured I didn't have correct config in thermald.conf or something.

You have to remember that all ZTE Forces are all different,
In other words,Not all CPU'S can overclock very high.
One Force may run an overclock of 1.8GHz,And another won't even overclock past the stock 1.5GHz.

Okay so heres another old bump, but I'm really kind of a noob when it comes to this side of android developing/modding as I've only been rooting and making minor mods to basic stuff like changing boot animations and user interface sounds. I need a little help on how to install this kernel on my boost force. Its running the DroidSmith Force rom if that means anything.
Also I have ICS and was wondering how do I update to JB.

There is a thread in the All Things Root Section, and I beleive I saw the news being broadcast in the main forum as well. Sawbones999 has brought JB to all of us whom are less inclined in the Android Arts. http://androidforums.com/threads/fi...an-rom-public-release-update-from-ics.886408/ (way to lazy to make the link work, sorry ) and I really think that once you get jb up and running you might not even care to OC. Boot time is excellent, benchmarks are through the roof, and everything else works great. Unless you have something that specifically needs the OC.... well its your device. Let me know if you get OC working cuz I want it too!

Thanks for the link I've got JB installed and my Force is at an all time high in performance with benchmarks through the roof. I haven't exactly tried to OC yet not really sure if I want to now but I wouldn't mind

I cant say for sure, and you may want to wait for one of the more knowledgable folks, but I do think it will work in stock based roms. However as I satated above, if you are running Droidsmith or the SawbonesJB rom then you might not even need it. Both of those roms are finely tuned powerhouses that scrape every last bit of function out of this considerablely spec'd device.

I know this is an old device but can a moderator or somebody either get content to all these dead links in here? Use to be able to DL wip oc kernel all that now its link as well as all but sawbones rom is missing. no drpidsmith nodda. There alot of dead links in Avids forum too, what gives guys? can a fool atleast get a reply? I beem patiantly been awaiting ANY response for months. Love AF its my home forum I help and get alot of help here. But Man you giys need to update AF apk again youve made it VERY user unfriendly. Kernel worked fine i lost it a few months back wben my ext sd burnt out. now only link with content is sawbones n that lenovo etc. kernel with the memory leak wich DESTROYS BATTERY LIFE . Any word on all these dead links? not jus wip kernel but droidsmith rom and matrix kernel.ALL DEAD LINKS
