Root [KERNEL][Linaro][Hybrid] ZER0 Kernel for Samsung Galaxy Avant

Nvm guys. I returned to stock and rerooted. Everythings great now. Awesome kernel btw. Thanks for all your time and effort in keeping this phone's development alive. :):):):):):)

Best I can think of, if nothing else works, is to use Odin to restore stock everything and try again... Could also use Flasfire if you don't have access to a pc (this is how I do it), but it's a little complex... I can type up a quick guide if you need it, though...

Here's a guide for Flashfire:

Thank you for the reply. I tried flashing without wiping dalvik cache and cache first but it gave me the same issue. I read that wiping them could potentially solve the issue so I tried that afterwards and still have the same problem :(:(
is it possible for you to send me a logcat ?

Great job on this kernel, I was using dfuses aokp ROM until recently I've seen this up in the forums, unfortunately even tho I've set the secure storage to false I still have to input WiFi every reboot which is annoying but the kernel is very nice. This also works on the latest version of metropcs stock KitKat, I prefer ANK3 tho because the new version had too many differences I don't like

Nvm, a couple of reboots and WiFi works fine although the screen occasionally doesn't turn back on sometimes, I'll whined up figure it out some where down the line but right now I'm enjoying this. Also this question goes out to anyone BTW, can this kernel support USB fast charge or is that only for certain phones?

AOSP in general, the only difference in roms as far as that goes is the ramdisk
Can't wait...lol...
The Zer0 kernel for stock has issues with the newest MetroPCS rom (AOH2). Sometimes the device won't wake after turning the screen off... Have to pull the battery... I've tried messing with all kinds of settings, but nothing fixes it...
Works great on every other stock rom I've tested, though (pretty sure I've tested all, T-Mobile and MetroPCS)...

EDIT:
It appears as though the minimum clock speed is too low to allow the device to wake while the screen is off... I can not seem to adjust the min clock, though, no matter which governor I use...

Attached logcat from AOH2 screen wake error. Hope it helps.

Edit: I set everything to default in Kernel Aduiter and then changed individual settings and tested... The only option I've changed is hotplugging and now it works. Had to turn off all hotplugging...

I know it's not a 'fix', per-se, since we kinda need hotplugging, but I would assume that the hotplug isn't working correctly with the screen off for some reason (hopefully this reason is shown in my logs)...

EDIT (again):
Zen Decision hotplug works... No issues at all... Although, for real, it doesn't seem any different than having hotplugging disabled...

Hi I've tried and tried to get this kernel to work stably on my metro pcs galaxy avant 4.4.2 G386T1 current kernel version 3.4.0-2399036 if anyone knows of a good kernel or how to increase the max cpu & gpu speed limits to 1.6 & 580 using my existing kernel I'd appreciate it

ok just an update I got it to work but I just wanted to know
if anyone has corrected the hotplug issue

I am having issues with my cpu cores always staying online and rarely ever switching off and on. This is whether DVFS is enabled or disabled. Also doesnt seem to change much no matter which governor I use OR which hotplug I use. Alot of times the screen wont come back on, as if the min cpu speed is too low and I cannot change it no matter what I do. Its a good kernel but it would be nice if the speeds and hotplugging would work like it should. Right now to circumvent the screen power on failure I have dvfs enabled, hotplug set as mpdecision and using the performance governor that way the speed doesnt drop and keep my screen from coming on. Its a bit annoying as its eating my battery faster. Im not in any way putting the kernel down because, as the only TW kernel that I know of for this phone, I think it is a very good one! Anyone got any ideas?

Chuck
