have noticed that the second core does not stay activated. i can turn it on with kernel tuner, but after reboot, it is off. is there another app to force the second core to stay on?

Don't do that, it Trina on when its needed but other than that stays off to save battery

Only thing I've noticed is that if I set the max cpu at anything else other than 1620 I get major lag..

wow really? I set mine at 1134 with setCPU since all I do is a couple games, video chat, and the daily cell phone communication stuff and it runs smooth as butter. I did however remove everything I really didn't need after installing this though idk if that makes a difference.

Love the kernel and I works on BobZ cm10 
Been running this for a few days now and here's my 2 cents about it: I don't notice much of a difference performance-wise or battery-wise from stock. This phone is pretty fast to begin with so any improvements would naturally only be minor. This is the first thing I've flashed since I went back to stock from Bobz's cm. I was highly disappointed that no matter what, I couldn't get gps to work. No diss on that rom, it's AWESOME to have such a badass rom with a locked boot loader. I LOVED jb on this phone, but I need gps & in my bitterness I stayed away from the forum altogether; however, I would still check in now and then with a distant hope of someone coming up with a breakthrough. Then i caught wind of loki. Much respect to the master minds behind this forum. It spurred in me a new hope, and i know that this modified kernel is only the start of great things to come. All that aside, I gotta say every thing works great, I love that I can finally get rid of those bs apps (not just freeze them, which kinda has the same effect) but most of all I'm elated with the fact that I can finally delete the goddamn lg launcher and keyboard which have haunted me in some way or another since I got the phone! For enabling that simple pleasure, I say that all those involved in making this happen are the $#!π, and are artists of the craft. I speak as a visual artist myself, and I know that nothing this good comes without a lot of hard work, time, , and talent. THANK YOU!

anyone else having issues of your turning off or going to deep sleep and not waking up after flashing this kernel? i have had my phone do this twice now while using this kernel.

Try uninstalling the cpu app you're using and use the phone without it for a while to see if it still happens. Alternatively you can try different settings in the cpu app like perhaps a different governor.
I didn't mess with any wakelock stuff so it shouldn't be the kernel. All I did was add a small OC and interactive gov.

k. i was using setcpu which you can set a profile for when the screen is off, i had the min/max both @486. i went ahead and uninstalled setcpu and now using kernel tuner, gonna see what happens using that app and keep it oc'd.

OK now I know for sure it's the settings you're using causing your issues. Don't set the min/max to the same thing. Also if you use interactive gov you don't need to set a screen off profile since the interactive gov sets the cpu to @384 when the screen is off. Generally you don't have to mess with the settings much or you're just gonna cause your phone to misbehave.
I have my phone set to the max with interactive gov and CFQ scheduler with no profiles and that works perfect for me.
Whenever I need my phone battery for a while, I set min and max to 384(?), I haven't had any problems.

That's great, glad that works for you, but the other guy had issues cuz of that.
Generally your not suppose to set min/max both to the lowest. When the phone comes from deep sleep It'll struggle to wake cuz you're not allowing it enough power. That's why the other guys phone couldn't come off deep sleep and got stuck. It's better to use the right governor instead, that's what they're for.
