Root [KERNEL] PopcornKernel v0.1

neph I think your right my phone does not like the music app frozen and I can't run popcorn 2.0 without random reboots. all hardware is made the same but does not preform the same. I can not even start to run antutu above 1566 without reboot.
I was going to try to freeze the music app with 3.0 b o but without the bluetooth I went back to 1.3

I've been running the popcornkernal v2 and I've experienced faster browser and faster charge. I set it to max 1.458 GHz clock freq, min 192 MHz and aggressive Governor. Is this the best setting for maximum battery lifespan?
I'm also using JuiceDefender. Battery still drains noticeably so I'm always turning off internet when not in use. I might consider getting an extended battery.

Aggressive or Gallimaufry should give the best life.

You can always undervolt it, too.

I have not intentionally turned wifi on since installing broken out v1. No need. I doubled up and got the 10GB data plan.

Open Rom Manager and choose 'Reboot into Recovery'. It will open the CWM we have installed on our phones and you can backup there.

what app are you guys using to undervolt? I can't find one that supports it. I've tried antutu cpu app and they just robbed me because it didn't give me a refund option even though it hadn't even been 10 minutes. Second time in 2 days an app has robbed me. I've tried voltage control. and i use rom toolbox pro but none of these allow for changing voltages on our phone. So which app are you guys using for this?

How do you undervolt. Every app I try says kernel is not supported. What am I missing? This is very frustrating because I really want to play around with undervolting and nothing is allowing me too

Are you running setCPU? I found that during testing, something between running broken out, setcpu and popcorn did not mesh well on my phone, but others have had no issues with it. I'm starting to believe that a small batch of phones went out with less then optimal chips in them.

not that i think about it he did have cpu profiles setup.... but even after wiping and starting fresh his phone just cant handle it...both were ordered and shipped together... so looks like they were all mixed together.. but mine has had 1x signal issues... 3g and 4g work fine but sometimes it wont call or send a text... even fresh out the box.... i wanna get verizon to replace it but im afraid of the bad processor

Just a heads up to everyone, this kernel on eclipse rom caused severe reboots with apps and some apps, like rom toolbox didn't work right; I haven't encountered the issue with other kernels. I let the rtb dev know, in case it was an app issue.

I've been running eclipse and this kernel for a week and haven't got any of that. And I have over 100 apps on my phone. And I also use rom toolbox pro. And I also overclock to 1836mhz

I haven't had a single issue with popcorn and eclipse...I'm using it currently and have been for about a week

Are you using rom toolbox? My post is specific to that app and some other app glitches. Otherwise it works brilliant with eclipse.

Imu- no reboots when you try to backup apps or hangup when you try to uninstall apps through rtb? I've wiped data, cache and dalvik but the issue remains since the update to v5 of rtb. I'd say it's the app, but I tested on stock and broken out and had no problems.

Maybe the popcorn devs can shed some light.

I just ran a backup of 122 apps and it ran fine. and i uninstalled 3 apps afterwards and they all uninstalled fine. One thing you need to make sure of is that you have usb debugging enabled whenever you are freezing or uninstalling apps and running backups. if usb debugging isn't turned on it creates issues.
