Kernel that works for Rom Manager?

rendez2k

Newbie
I've been trying to install Rom Manager for a few days on my S2. I've tried several kernals such as CF and Hellcats. Now, "CWM-initramfs-template" seems to be working OK but I'm not sure its the best. Does anyone know a good kernal that allows Rom Manager to install properly. I know one issue I've had is to do with 3e recovery.

Also, is it OK to keep flashing over the top of other kernals or should I be restoring the phone from scratch first?

Well it downloads ROMs, installs, manages and backs up I think. I'm beginning to wonder if I actually need to install its version of CWM?

You can do all that in CWM apart from download roms buts thats easy enough. When I had a HTC Desire everyone avoided rom manager as it caused problems and i've never used it since. I just use CWM now and there is also a CWM app you can use.
