Root Kernels & ROMS?

WA_Bob

A question from a newly experimental rooter here. I've been trying various Sense ROMs and I wanted to give an AOSP one (or many) a shot. One thing I've never done is change my Kernel and I was wondering if I had to if I was experimenting at first or if I could try out some ROMs to see if I liked them before I went that far? I know I can always restore from my backup, but I wanted to make sure I didn't make myself a big mess to have to recover from and/ or have the ROMs I'm trying under perform on me. Thanks much for any help!

As long as you wipe before each flash you should be fine. Kernels are a different type of beast than roms. I would suggest you try put different roms til you find one you want to stick with for a while hen play around with kernels.
