Help Keyboard battery use

I have had the phone for two days now. The keyboards Swiftkey and FlexT9 have both been battery hogs when they are the active keyboard. They sometimes use up to 90% of the battery. Does anyone know why this could be happening and if there is anything that can be done to fix it?

Same. My LG keyblate also drains high percent of my battery

It seems to be every keyboard. I logged a ticket with LG and it was sent to the Customer Advocacy Group.

Strange, downloaded gingerbread keyboard, using it as default and it's not showing up as an active keyboard that's draining the battery's juice.

currently my LG keyboard is taking 2% while my google map app is taking 95%.
