Root Keyboard disappearing

Sometimes when Im typing something the keyboard disappears, if I press the spot where a letter is it will still type. Ive tried 3 different ROMs and Ive noticed this happening on all of them. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

What keyboard have you been using?

I've never had issue with SmartKeyboard. Maybe only on Chrome... but then again Chrome has never played nicely with me.

And which ROMs where you using? The only time it disappeared on me was when I was trying to save a word to the dictionary

Have you tried the Chrome beta? I've had a lot more success with it than the standard release. Not nearly as many graphical glitches and no (that i've seen so far) disappearing keyboard issue.

My situation exactly. With Chrome using Swiftkey, the keyboard would disappear. So I just quit using Chrome. I have never had any good luck with it anyway on my phone.

Ditto. Chrome on Win and Ubuntu. BOAT MINI on the Evo

The Chrome beta Android app has been issue free for me, I'd give that a try.

Ive just been using the keyboard that came on the ROMs. Ive been using Harmonia, MidnightRom Senseless, and now MidnightRom Jellybean. Sometimes the keyboard would disappear while texting but I dont think thats happened since I switched to MidnightRom J. Ill give the chrome beta a try.

Edit: The chrome beta crashes every time I open it, guess I wont be using that.

My friend has been bugging me to try it out, I guess I'll give it a try.

maybe you're accidentally hitting the back key when you're typing? That's weird that on EVERY, the only issue you've had was that the keyboard disappears. :s

I've had no luck with the Chrome Beta either. I tried it a couple weeks ago, and it's actually worse. I got no help from emailing them, so I just gave up on Chrome altogether.
