Help Keyboard fail???

In the middle of typing texts or FB messages, my keyboard randomly disappears and sends me back to the previous screen... I click the words I just typed and the keyboard reopens but will not let me input anything new... I have to close out of the app all together, then reopen. It seems to happen randomly, but frequently... Just started 2 days ago and I don't think I have done anything new...

I tried to kill apps that recently updated:
I deleted GoSMS, no change
I deleted Astro Bluetooth, no change

I am at a loss...

Have you tried clearing the app data/cache for the keyboard app that you are using?

I am using the stock keyboard... How do I do that? Sorry for the newb question...
