Keyboard Lag

When ever I type in landscape, the on screen keyboard is really laggy. The portrait keyboard is fine. I use handcent sms and I've tried to turn off sound and vibration still no luck. I've tried to use the default messaging app and its the same...any solutions?

The phone is rooted and its running Fresh 2.0d ROM from ppcgeeks.com

dang i was hoping 2.1 would solve this for me, but it seems my hopes are going to fail

Yeah I can't find a solution for it....

Their are a lot of topics about this already with no real resolution. Turning off the sound and vibrations are the only suggestions I've seen so far. I have the same problem and it gets annoying!

The sad thing is the only solution might be to get an Evo....from what I asked in the Evo forum they don't have landscape keyboard lag.
