Help keyboard landscape mode not for all applications

I get landscape for some but not all apps, like the phone contacts edit, there is some way to toggle it on/off by appllication?

I believe that is application specific. Meaning that if an app supports it then it will work in landscape mode however if an app does not then it will not.
