Help Keyboard layout

I noticed on a YouTube video the particular keyboard on a Galaxy Note 10.1 shown in the attached image. However on my Note 10.1 keyboard where the Text Symbol is shown on the YouTube keyboard which allows you to write the letters rather than type them out I have a Gear wheel symbol which opens the keyboard settings window.

Does anyone know how I can get this Text Symbol key to appear on my keyboard? I've had a look in Keyboard settings but nothing really seems obvious as to how to change the layout of my keyboard.

Thanks

I think I've done that but the keyboard still doesn't provide the Handwriting option. See screenshot, the one on the right is my keyboard.

As far as I can see there is no way to turn 'handwriting' ON

What I have done is selected Settings>Language and Input (see screen shot called 'Language and Input) then selected the gearwheel alongside the greyed out ticked Samsung keyboard to get screenshot called 'Handwriting1' then selected 'Handwriting' to getScreenshot 'Handwriting 2'

As you can see nowhere is there anywhere where I can select 'handwriting'

The Note 10.1 is running on 4.1.2

Press the Settings sign on the right hand side of the Samsung keyboard and you will find Handwriting there.

FOUND IT!

Long-press the settings button on the keyboard itself and you will be able to toggle between settings andd handwriting button.

Ahhhh

A long press on the 'pinwheel' under the letters Z and X appears to have resolved the confusion!!

I've attached the screenshot.

Thanks to all.:)
