keyboard light problem

besides the lagging on the browser which most people are experiencing it seems that the physical keyboard light on mine is having an issue

if i restart my phone and slide it out it doesnt light up..in order for it to light up i have to hit the power button to turn the screen off then if i turn it back on or just slide the keyboard out the lights work

There seems to be a new bug with the keyboard backlighting, albeit a minor one. After the reboot, the keyboard backlighting will not work. Also, if I power down and then power up, the keyboard lighting will not work either. Both are easily fixed by adjusting the brightness under sounds and display in the settings.

For me, I have to select auto brightness and then remove it in order to get it to work.

Mine is doing this also. While typing a long message I noticed that the four dedicated buttons turned off as they normally do, but when I went to type on the hardware keyboard the backlight wouldn't turn on (of the keyboard or the dedicated buttons). I find to fix this I just had to lock the screen for a sec then unlock it and it lit up again.

I'm also having a problem with the keyboard light staying lit on my Tmobile Mytouch 3G Slide in medium lighting conditions. There's no way to force the light on or keep it on. It only stays lit in low light conditions. I should be able force this light on whenever I need it.
