Help Keyboard with voice button missing on Arc??

Is there supposed to be a voice button on the standard keyboard? I have an Xperia Arc. No voice button. Trying to get speech > text note application.

There is on the standard android keyboard, but sony ericsson in their infinite wisdom seem to have decided to remove it. So that was nice of them.

Suggest installing an alternate keyboard, there are loads of good ones to choose from, e.g. swiftkey or swype.
