Help Kias

Just tried installing Kias on my PC... 45mins later I've managed to uninstall it. That wasn't exactly a smooth customer experience! (Had been told it's the way to update your SGS2 firmware).

It just locked up my PC and wouldn't work.

So, does Kias have any redeeming features? Should I try again, or do what my instinct tells me and walk away from Kias?

On win7 64bit and it installed without issues.

Being used to itunes, Kies does seem pointless other than for the firmware update and backups.
You have to create an account after install to do these things.

on a side note, is the app store in kies the same as the phone? or different altogether?
a few apps ive had a quick search for arent there?

New set of firmware updates. Another world of failed upgrades. Kias is beyond unreliable. KIas is ruining my SGS2 experience. Their suuport is no better.

I agree! This is the worst piece of software i've been over. (And i've seen alot)

It's buggy, unstable and unfriendly to use.

Samsung needs to fix this asap!

Meanwhile i'll use Odin for updates.
Thank god it's an alternative.
