Most people would probably say on the right side of the phone.

Thats what I was thinking too but who really wants a charger sticking out the top (side) of the device when in KICKSTAND mode? It would look like an antenna...JMO.

if they did that the front facing camera would be useless when docked, since it would cause the camera to be located at the bottom of the device which would not be aimed at your face. moving the charging port to the right would also place all the capacitive buttons on the left hand side if you're holding it while charging or putting it in a dock, that would be a pain for the majority of users who are right handed.

htc probably had to move the charging port from the bottom of the phone due to the issues people were having on the EVO. that left them in a catch-22 when deciding where to relocate it to.

their only other option was to not have a kickstand at all....

So, for all you TBers who want to landscape kickstand and charge at the same time, here is the solution. I'm gonna have to come up with a good name for this, maybe I'll call it......"the mudstand"

You're gonna laugh at how simple this is.

From the way it looks, You might want to have that phone number to the insurance company handy.
