Kickstand?

What's the best kickstand available for the Note 2? Ideally (IMO) they would have a kickstand built in, as I don't really like cases, but since they don't I'm looking for a case that is as unobtrusive as possible, but with a really good kickstand that is steady. I want to be able to type on the phone with the kickstand out and not have it tip over. All the kickstands I've seen so far seem to just be a little let that comes out from one edge of the phone, which in my experience means that touching the opposite corner is likely to make it tip.

So are there any cases out there with really good kickstands, but a small enough profile that I can still put the phone in my jeans easily?
 
I've been using this directly from VZW for a year now. first on my Gnex and now on Note II. works great.

Comes in two parts, the back is very slim and unobtrusive and you can just use it by itself. it has a good kickstand.

you may or may not want to buy the front. VZW sells a version with just the back for $10 less.

I use the back as a protector and a kickstand and use screensaver on the front and just put the phone in my pocket without worrying.

That looks pretty good. I like the way the kickstand folds so it seems like it would give more support than most of the other kickstands I've seen.
 
if you use just the back and a screensaver the phone will not feel any thicker than stock but well protected plus a kickstand... good luck, :)
 
Even though I don't use it on the regular, the one I got isn't too obtrusive and it's a TPU case, so protects the phone pretty well:

I'm similar to you, where I prefer not using a case, so this is another option I put out there for some people:

There are other colors of that kickstand keychain as well, but just searched for it quickly on ebay, so you could have an idea.
 
Is there a battery door that incorporates a kickstand? I thought there was an accessory for the S3 that was similar to that; so the Note II may have one?

Coming from the EVO and then the Photon, that's the one thing I feel empty about when holding the phone. Granted, rather than using the kickstand to prop my phone up at work, I use my extra battery charger stand, but still would be nice when out and about and not needing to use the case I bought or the keychain kickstand.
