Help Kies Air

Does anyone know how I can set a different IP address into Kies Air.
When I start it, it defaults to 192.168.1.101 and this is already used by my printer, so I cannot connect.

It was working last night, as it was broadcasting itself on 192.168.1.102, but for some reason its changed its address on the GS2 when I start it up.

If I go into the settings, there doesnt seem to be anywhere to specify the address.

i think if u have ur printer on at the time it goes to the next available ip

try unplugging your printer,(and everything else that might use a port)
connect to KIES, once connected, plug your printer back in and your router should assign it a different IP.

(where you cannot change KIES, change the printer IP?)

I've tried clearing Kies Air's data and retrying, but for some reason its always broadcasting itself on .101

then i guess u have to use another ip for ur printer

Stange why Kies Air was using .102 last night??

Also, whats the difference between Kies Air and Kies via WiFi app? I've never been able to get the latter to work.

kies wifi, or kies direct, is for connection with another phone i beleieve

Sorted out the problem.

An IP address cannot be configured into Kies Air, as the IP address this uses is the IP address the GS2 itself has been allocated by the DHCP server (ie. the wireless router) and adds a port number 8080 in my case)

Now I've no idea how my GS2 was allocated as .101 today as my printer is .101 and is always on. Perhaps when I returned home, the printer connection was momentarily dropped, and the GS2 was then allocated .101

Anyway, I had to disconnect the GS2 from wireless connection, then re-connect to the router. Upon reconnection, the GS2 was allocated .103, so all seems well now.
