Help Kies I give up.

Trying to connect my Tab2.10 to pc with Kies.

I have done this before and worked fine. Thought I would see if I could connect and see if Jelly Bean update was available.

Turned Kies on and it goes into an update that took ages. Connected Tablet and nothing.

Ok tried a full uninstall and reinstall just the same. Tab connected by USB not even found. It's not the lead as have used on other equipment.

I give up unless anyone has any idea.
 
When I made my Update via Kies. It seems like there was a long "updating" process before I ever actually seen anything done with my tablet. Once that Long updating process ended , my tablet fired up , updated and has worked ever since
 
Try running Kies as an admin (right click, run as admin) and then plug in your tablet and try the update.

The first 4 times I tried to update by just opening Kies and then running the update, it would download the update files and then just sit and do nothing forr up to 30 minutes (I never let it go any longer, but am sure it would have just sat there unresponsive indefinitely if I let it). Once I ran Kies as an admin from the start, it worked perfectly and I had the full update installed on my tab in ~20 minutes.
