Help Kies mode missing?

Hey all,

Trying to get ready for the 2.2 update. Running into a major snag - on my phone (under USB settings), there is no option for "Kies mode." All I see are mass storage and media sync... Nothing else.

Known issue? I can't find a single helpful reference for this...

if you have a fascinate (and not another sgs phone) then we dont use kies

for whatever reason we dont get updates from it. we d get verizon otas
