Help Kies problem

When I try to connec to Kies via usb with my computer it says connecting and it does this for 10mins+ and nothing happens. When I try and enable Kies Air so I can connect via wifi the Kies program on PC doesnt react to this. Am I doing something wrong?

what is the spec of ur pc
 
OSWindows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7
(32/64bit are supported)

CPUIntel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz or above (recommended)

Minimum memory size(RAM)1.00 GB (recommended)

Free hard drive spaceAt least 500 MB (recommended)

Screen resolution1024 x 768 (600), 32 bit or aboveRequired software.Net Framework 3.5 SP1 or above, Windows Media Player 10 or above, DirectX 9.0C

if u r not close to that expect problems
 
Ah dam I'm far from that. But when connecting with Kies Air the Kies program doesn't even change state to 'Connecting..' Unless I'm doing it wrong?

Are you unlocking the phone when you connect ? My Kies doesn't want to work unless I put my screenlock code in.
 
I spend 4-5 hours trying to get Kies to find my phone. Tried all kinds of solutions, tricks and what not untill I found out that I needed to update Windows Media Player to version 10 or better (Mine was still version 9 because I never use it. WMP uses the MTP that Kies also uses.) After I updated WMP there hasn't been a problem since.

Thanks for the advice. I'm already on WMP 11. So annoyed that I can't use Kies
 
i updated to a newer firmware, and ever since then...after some period of time,(connected via wifi) i try to connect to AIR, and will do the same thing. try to connect and nothing happens. If i try to connect to the net, same thing....no connection available....

I restart the phone.....it comes good and connects instantly.everytime.
reboot the phone and try AIR just to see if its your phone or you PC.

personally i think its a firmware problem as even when its trying to connect, it KNOWS my domain. (im on KF4, just waiting to use a different firmware before i throw it back to vodafail)

I had the same problem and I found it was internet explorer 9 causing it I had to revert back to version 8 and now it works fine
