Help Kies sync painfully slow

Win7, 64bit, syncing calendar with Kies takes over 15 minutes. Any way to speed this snail-paced software up?

I'm confused by this...why do you need Kies to sync your calendar? On my PC I use Outlook calendar primarily, which syncs with my Google calendar. The "S-Planner" that comes on the phone syncs with the Google calendar within seconds. I don't use Kies at all, not even for file transfers. On my Galaxy S2, I had an app called "aCalendar", which I loved. It doesn't look so good on the S4 so I just tried the native S-Planner and was very impressed. You might give it a try. Hope this answers your question.
