Help Kies won't connect

Hi,

I got my phone back from Samsung service with Jelly Bean (4.1.2) installed. When I try to connect with kies, it recognizes the phone, but fails to connect. The software times out and keeps attempting the connection. I have uninstalled kies, cleaned the computer registry with CC cleaner and re-installed kies. Still won't work. Any suggestions?
 
You can try a different cable or usb port.

Thanks for the response. Tried that, no luck.

Since my original post, I've contacted Samsung. They said just forget Kies and do my backups manually. That to me is easier than using Kies!! The phone agent said the problem would be passed onto the software developers, but I won't hold my breath for a fix to Kies.
