Help Kies won't recognize my Note

I have tried on both of my Macs. Uninstalled and re-installed on both machines. Updated the Kies software on both after re-installs. No idea what to do now and don't have the time to call Samsung. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried clicking on "Troubleshoot connection error".

Don't see that as an option. both computers recognize that the phone is connected but Kies does not.

I have the same problem. Kies is a real pain in the a$$ if you ask me. I do all updates for my Note OTA, and avoid the nightmare that is Kies altogether.:smokingsomb:

No, the ICS update can be done OTA. I updated my Note yesterday using this method. If you have your phone set to update automatically, when your wifi is on, it should tell you there is an update. Otherwise, with the wifi on, go to settings;phone;software update, and check for updates. Should work. Make sure your battery level is at least 50% before doing this. A full charge would be better.

I have checked the software updates under settings since ICS was released last week. It continues to say that my software is up to date. I am in the US and on AT&T.

That is strange. I am in Canada with Bell. I was able to update to ICS OTA. I would give AT&T a call. Hope you get it resolved soon.
