Root Kil root?

I'm assuming the new 2.3.340 kills root on the stock ROM. Anyone know for sure? And if so, can you get it back with z4root?

I guess this is really kind of a dumb question. I gotta think it does. But what exactly does it do? Does it re-intall bloatware? Does it delete z4root? What does it do to your root apps? Anything?

Are there any REAL advantages to even having it? I'm thinking it's primary purpose is just to kill root...
 
I lost root when I upgraded, but all my apps (including root) were still there. Running z4root will allow you to gain super user access again. If you removed your bloatware apps, I don't believe the update will go through. I think the only difference between .320 and .340 is madden 11.
 
i lost root also when i did the ota and i keep running z4 and it seems to go through all the way. when i try to use root apps (ti, explorer and tether) i just get notice that they cant get root access. i have the super user icon on the apps list but no luck in getting them to work. anyone have any thoughts?

I had a similar problem with z4, I had to factory reset, ran z4 again and it worked.
