Root Kind of an interesting question?

I'm heading over to the Xoom forum next to look but...

So after suffering with a printer that wasn't Win 7 compatible, I finally broke down and bought a WiFi printer this weekend and lo and behold I can print directly from my phone. I'm sure I knew I ~could~ do that but hadn't use that capability before so it's pretty cool.

Tried to get the same thing to happen using my wife's Xoom but it doesn't have that capability built in to it. I assume that the JetCet app is what makes printing possible from Rez to printer...is it possible that app would work in Honeycomb (Xoom's OS). I am thinking of course I would have to root her Xoom in order to install the app to test it...which is why I'm heading to the Xoom forum. So many smart folks here, thought I'd at least run it by someone first...

There are already printer apps in the market to allow other devices to print via WIFI. Try going that route before rooting the tablet.

Trying to avoid paying for an app that gives me the same capability I have built in to my phone.

I found two apps for WiFi printing, one doesn't support my printer and the other costs $12.95 and I have not been able to determine (yet) if it is supported...

I use google cloud print and it works great. It's part of Google Chrome. I use it from all my computers, tablets, and phones.
