Kindle on Nook Color w/o root?

You'd have to side-load it onto your sd card to install, but I doubt it'll be easy without root access.

Don't think so.

Sideloading is only possible when you have access to the full settings menu and can access the checkbox "Allow non-market applications" or something like that.

While standard Android phones have access to that setting without root, the NC uses a customized shell that doesn't give the user access to those settings. Only way I know of is to root and then get access to that setting, but then again, if you've rooted, then you have market access and can just download it.

Not without usb-debugging turned on.

It's off on a non-rooted Nook.

I loaded Froyo using a bootable SD Card and I don't think it's rooted and I downloaded the Kindle App from the market.

It's rare to have a non-stock rom that isn't rooted. See if there's a superuser app.

You are right! I do have Superuser access.
