i've been running it for 3 days... everything seems to be running just fine... i really like it... only thing that i've found so far is i can't get the themed market to stick... i've flashed 3 times and still nothing... so far i haven't been able to find a mod for the market for this rom... outside of that, it's pretty sweet...

OP - Kings Z is still a Froyo rom, it's running Sense 2.0 however and most all other Sense roms are on Sense 1.0. Kings GB is running 2.3, but they're two separate roms.

Esther - to stop market updates, you need to use Root Explorer or ES File Explorer and go into system/app and rename "market updater.apk" to something like "market updater.bak" and then go to settings-->applications and find your market, and select "uninstall updates". This should revert it back to the original themed market and prevent it from updating.

ok, have gotten to the point of settings > app.... do not have an option of "uninstall updates"... :( guess i'll have to flash the rom again for the change to take....

It should bring up a list of apps. You'll have to find market on that list, select it, and then you should see the option for uninstalling updates.

If you re-flash the ROM you will have to start over. Do as Mizzoubrent said and then go into the app manager, find the market app and go into it (just like if you were going to un-install it or wipe the data) up in the top right instead of uninstall app it will say uninstall updates, hit that and you should be good to go.

And to the OP....as has already been mentioned, King's Z is a 2.2 ROM using the new Sense. King's Gingerbread ROM is a 2.3 ROM with no Sense(AOSP).

I have flashed both. And the both have their issues. To put it very simply, yes, they are both stable and smooth and fast. I just wish everything worked. It is known that Z does not have 4g working of HDMI out...basically everything unique about the EVO does not work sense it is a port from the Desire Z. I would be cool with that alone. But also certain little nit picky things don't work...like syncing to facebook and syncing to weather. Both of these syncs work but you have to force them...ie they don't do it automatically as set in the settings. I can't think of all of them at this time but it was enough to make me go elsewhere. I had it as my daily driver for about 2 weeks. Great ROM. I just wish they were as functional as the standard Myns or Miks. ANyway, give it a go...it is an excellent ROM. I guess these little things just irritated me over time.

well, tried all that and still nothing... maybe i have a bad DL of the ROM... gonna DL it again and try that... thanks for all the input...
