I am sick of all the IT WILL or IT WON'T be getting the Kit Kat update on the S3.
Will it, or won't it ??????? All bloody rumours and little fact available.

Yes its confirmed but obviously in the US thats carrier dependant.
Youll get it :thumbup:

I got my update to KitKat months ago-it's called ROOT and CUSTOMIZE

[gregg1100]

My S3 is still under warranty- and still worth a few quid. That's why I have not gone down the root direction. I could cock up peeling an orange. A bricked phone is a much good as a chocolate fireguard.
To get rid of the Samsung and o2 junk would be great, but lack the know how and especially confidence to root the phone. The know how is all over the interweb, but confidence is in the person.

It is only confirmed for the I747M model. I have not heard anything about the I9000 model.

I read it was confirmed for all s3s mate. Think theres a chance theyl leave out the exynos one?

Just to stop any confusion. The i9000 is not an S3 - S3 is i9300

The i9000 is the original Galaxy S.

Galaxy S3...
AT&T = SGH-i747
T-Mobile = SGH-T999
Verizon = SCH-i535
Sprint = SPH-L710
Unlocked = GT-i9300

[funkylogik]

Yeah i think it was just a typo on Stuntman's part tbh. I didnt even notice

[gregg1100]

I made the initial cock up by putting i19000---when it should have said GT 19300.

My information may be out of date. I read it perhaps a month or so ago, so they may have additional announcements for other SGS3 models that I was not aware of.
