Hello and welcome to the hell that is known as Android Forums, All Things Root, iT0mm0! :D

A big plus 1 for KP8.

Stronger and better signal than KL1 and its predecessors on my phone. Wi-Fi is holding at a longer distance too. :)

Indeed, certainly no complaints here. I reckon between NEAK, RevolutionROM, and KP8 my GS2 is pretty bang on. Well, for me anyway.

And until the next big thing ;)

flashed KP8 today, no significant change in signal (i live 100 yards from our local o2 mast so i always get decent reception), and mobile internet is still the crappy same (only Edge, and its always VERY slooo). disable/re-enabling data makes it kick in a lot quicker though ;-)

Wow simes6600!

You are only 100 yards from your mast and only get EDGE on data. I would definitely complain.

Here at ironass Towers I get H+ from the Vodafone mast 200 metres away.

I thought that after getting a thrashing and a hefty fine from, I think, OFFCOM about their 3G coverage, or lack of, a couple of years back that they had instituted a massive programme of upgrading of all their masts.

i live in a little town slap bang in the centre of Northern Ireland, pop approx 2000. we have no 3G on any network (very slow Edge on o2). our nearest *big* town just less than 3 miles away has just over 8000 peeps, they got o2 3G approx 2 weeks ago.

living so close to a mast has its reception perks, but if its not 3G enabled, its a bummer.

Just out of interest, is anyone noticing a couple any niggles with KP8? The strength of data for me is MUCH better, but I do find where I work that the modem doesn't ramp down from H to 3G to G but rather drops the signal altogether and then picks it up. This is expecially annoying when I am walking across Waterloo Bridge (where the signal jumps between H and 3G) and talking to my missus - I ALWAYS get cut off as the data signal flips. I'm also finding that I'm getting a bit more battery drain than I did before. This may be unrelated, butI have checked for partial wakelocks and deep sleep and everythign looks reasonable.
