I searched market for mobile hotspot. Are any of these new apps wireless? Has any body running the vd upgrade tried them?

Is your device rooted?

No ......& I didnt upgrade/ downgrade I still use hotspot but I was checkin incase I get upgraded in the future.

If you even think you might possibly want to root do not accept the zvc and/or zvd updates OTA. Instead use the LG Updater tool. The over the air updates close rooting loopholes and while it is possible to revert and root that way, it is a lot more involved.
If you do update either way you cannot use the hotspot exploit on zvd. If you flash a ROM like ThundeROM you will have a built-in hotspot. There is a great reference thread in the Optimus S Rooting section on this site and on Android Central.

I did the update before vd the zvc so I guess I.m shtuck. I wouldnt root myself. I'd either buy a succesfully rooted phone or find the yota of optS rooting to teach me.
