Klipsch S4/S5 Headphones

What is the compatibility like with the i series of these headphones (with the volume buttons)? I know it won't natively work but if I have a third party app, such as Headset Droid or Jay's, will the volume buttons work? Before I go and spend the $80-100 on these I'd like to know if these or other similar headphones work with the volume buttons. I know the apps are free but the headphones unfortunately, are not. Haha.

klipsch has their own control app (klipsch control). it didnt work first when ICS came out but it works now.

I know about that, however it says in the description it is not compatible with the i series, with the volume buttons. This is the series I'd like to use with my Nexus.

I used to use some Sony earbuds and the volume control or mic did not work with my Gnex. They were probably made for apple, smh..

Ironically, I just received my Klipsch Reference S4 a few days ago and they do offer an android version. I picked up the plain no mic model for $52 out the door, brand new on amazon.

I recommend the reference s4 over the image s4 (or x10 if you got the extra dough). I guess some minor improvements have been made on the bass. Good luck to ya

Make sure you get the Klipsch S4A. They have the controls fully work with Androids. Hence the "A" after the 4.
