Help Kobo Readers Hub

I have had a lot of pleasure from the Kobo book reader and took quite a few books away in September last year whilst on a cruise. Now whenever I start up Kobo all my book start downloading. When they are downloaded if I leave Kobo and come back later they all start downloading again
Anyone know whats changed I am still on GBread

Go to play shop and download Kobo directly as an app. It will be a newer version than that found in Readers Hub. I suspect its something to do with the previous update of the Readers Hub. Also, you can try going to the app and clearing its data to see if that works. You can do that in Settings/Manage Application under the All tab, and look for the app.
