Beijing to London via Singapore in 2015. And Singapore Airlines in-flight entertainment system is called “Kris" or "Kris World", and they did have an associated app called "Kris" as well.
A kris is also a wavey-bladed Indonesian dagger.

The last airline I traveled on went out of business. I was going from Seattle WA to Boston MA and the last leg was in a Learjet type plane. Less than 40 passengers.

No idea why it's called Kris, but Singapore Airlines also has Kris Shop, that doesn't sell daggers.
