Ok Here is The Blue Kuban ClockworkMod with all buttons working as they should. Extract the contents of this zip to wherever you have your adb/sdk tools installed, then CD the command prompt & type adb devices you should get your serial number back, (make sure USB debugging is turned on) then drag the install.bat file into the command prompt & press enter, it will auto install & reboot.

Side Note: This is also a very handy way to root the phone in a pinch, Flashed a stock restore no root & ran this installer & presto i can boot into custom recovery & flash superuser root zip.:D

I tried everything that you said, but now my phone does not boot. I am running the jellybean leak. Don't know if that makes any difference. Anyway I will be staying away from the stuff you post since it seems to give me nothing but headaches. Once again sorry dude.

Is this just the recovery. Because jay you cannot have just a recovery on this phone. It has to be packed in the kernel if you still want it to boot a rom. And if you want the Kuban recovery just flash the Kuban kernel!

After looking this appears to be the 0.25 Kuban kernel with a windows installer.

Probably why it didn't boot is because you are on the jellybean leak. The only kernels that work on jellybean touch wiz ROMs are the repacked leaked kernels!

This script should work to flash the Kuban kernel and it won't trip the flash counter like Odin. I have not tested it but everything appears to be solid looking. For ICS touch wiz ROMs though!

I made a script that I put in /system/bin that uses dd to backup the current kernel, then looks to see if there is a zImage on my sdcard and flashes it. I just keep the Kuban zImage on my sdcard and whenever I want my recovery I use that script. Then I keep a cwm zip of the stock kernel and flash it before I leave recovery!

On a side note this script will only work if you are already rooted! It requires su in order to use dd!

So what kernel can I use with the jellybean leak so that I can have a decent recovery where I can flash zips?

The repacked ga10 or I think there maybe a fl14 repack. Any repacked JELLYBEAN kernel. There are no source built custom jellybean kernels!

I managed to get this to flash but I can't for the life of me figure out how to boot into it. I tried power + vol up, vol up + vol down + pwr, vol down + pwr just boots me to odin.
