l2hsic wakelock

You could try turning off Fast Dormancy and see if that helps after 1 or 2 days. Getting a straight answer from Vodafone on the subject of FD was like pulling teeth. I just toggled between on and off until I found which gave the lowest wakelock. Although I have to say that 1.6% isn't too bad.
Hi ironass,

Thanks for the feedback.

Wonder why Vodafone are so cagey on the FD issue. What have they got to hide, I wonder!

When you commented "Although I have to say that 1.6% isn't too bad", what does that refer to?

Hi ironass,

When I eventually found someone at Vodafone who knew what FD was, I was told that it depended on my location. I offered to give my postcode but was told they couldn't tell me. Hence, my trial and error with FD enabled/disabled. In my case, out in the sticks, FD disabled is best for me

That should have read, "1.4%", as per your post. Depending on how good/strong your signal is and how many app's are connecting to it, I feel that 1.4% per hour battery drain is reasonable.

Hi ironass,

I have a strong signal at home as I use a Vodafone Sure Signal femtocell. No option as otherwise the signal is weak in my area. On my HTC Desire S, I have many more apps than on my tab - yet, overnight battery drain is, to all intents and purposes, zero. What's more, the battery drain that I am now seeing on the tab seems to correspond to upgrading (!) to Android 4.0.4. And, after all, the 1.4% per hour figure is measured overnight when the display, WiFi, GPS, mobile data and bluetooth are all off. Out of interest, at what rate does battery capacity drop under identical conditions for your device(s)?
