Help Lag switching from SwiftkeyX to Home screen?

Anyone elses keyboard lag a bit after hitting the home button?

Specifically, when I'm in Messenger and the SwiftkeyX keyboard is up, I'll press home and it switches to my homescreen, but the keyboard stays up for a half a second.

Not a problem, just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.

By the way, I am using Nova Launcher.
