Help Lag while Typing?

It doesn't disable autocorrect. It disables spell check. It means it wont draw red lines under misspelled words, and subsequently slow your kehboard down when you type a lot of words in landscape. Autocorrect is a setting for the specific keyboard being used, not global spell check across all keyboards.

Good to know google is on this. I havent used the spellcheck since i figured out it was what was causing the lag, but it will be nice to have it fixed so i can tell if it is useful.

I had this problem bad so I had turned off spell correction to fix it. Well I guess google fixed this in 4.0.3 bc I just installed Roman's AOKP rom and made sure spell correction was turned on but I'm getting no lag whatsoever while typing this in landscape. Awesome!

I have spell check unchecked and it still red underlines words.

I was getting some lag today when typing into a forum textbox really fast (GO keyboard, landscape, dolphin browser and stock browser), but didn't get any lag while typing in the address bar of each browser.

will have to try it in portrait mode and with other browsers.

I've had some lag here and there, but usually nothing bad enough to warrant serious worries. A bogged down phone lags... that's just the way it is... if you aren't getting lag, its b/c your phone isn't bogged down with extraneous stuff...

Interesting. I guess I will have to play with it some more because I haven't experienced this.

I still have autocorrect as well, because autocorrect is a feature of the individual keyboard being used--in this case the Android Keyboard. The spell correction is a global keyboard setting and so far as I have seen, the only thing that went away was the words being underlined when spelled incorrectly, regardless of what keyboard I'm using be it SwiftKey or Thumb Keyboard (on my XOOM with ICS).
