Root Laggy DX

Seems that with recent OS upgrades and the like, my DX aint what it used to be. I do use a LAUNCHER (LauncherPro), but not much else running in the background.

Is there anything I can do to speed this thing up?

Is there a specific ROM I should use to do this? Can it be uprooted? Do I lose access to the app store, etc?

Chaznsc check out the root and Rom guide at the top of this forum. It can answer allot of your questions as far as how-to's. But to answer your question about limitations. You are limited by NOT being rooted.

You will not lose the market, there really isn't a reason to unroot your phone and for a beginner like yourself I would most defenitley recommend the Liberty 3 Rom. It's a fast, stable, and feature packed.

Also if you really don't feel like doing any roms or any of that. Just a good factory reset will probably speed you up a little bit. But i would still advise rooting before you did that so you could save your app data.

its always best to root, get titanium backup, backup all your app data (games) then sbf, reroot, restore the app data only!

unroot, clear cache, and there ya go
