Help Laggy Keyboard

Has anyone noticed that sometimes when you are texting that the keyboard cant keep up with what you are typing? I'm running froyo and handcent sms. It isnt always laggy, but sometimes it is and it frustrates me. Im not sure what is the main source of this problem. Anyone else having this?

i notice the laggy keyboard only when i'm typing in a forum text box (such as this one right now) on the phone. it sucks. i don't recall if i had this issue when i was on 2.1 though, not sure.

Yes, text on this website is definitely laggy.

If you are using the cm6 mod you should go into the Cyanogenmod settings and change the VM Heap size to 24. VM Heap is the amount of ram allocated to each app. Most dont need that much and the stock setting of 36 will lag your phone. 24 seems to be the sweet spot. Do a reboot after you change it for the change to take effect.
