Land Fill or Recycle?

If you're a hardcore gps user, the copilot app, which is made for truckers, stores all us maps on the SD card for offline use, it's about 8gigs. It costs 70$ though, about the same cost as a decent standalone GPS receiver.

There are lots of older Garmin Color Streetpilot GPSi around that take SD cards instead of the way expensive Garmin sticks. You can fit the whole U.S. on a 1 G card.

That's a good thought. As long as you update Google Maps (or what ever app you are using for maps and GPS) you'll have an updated maps and route info, etc.

I wish there was some way to share the internet connection between two devices, such as Bluetooth dun. But I think the carriers disable this on purpose in the Bluetooth stack.

I have seen a Bluetooth GPS app in the app store that share GPS location between two phones, for example if you had a tablet without agps receiver. Only the expensive ones do.

I did find in Google a way to install Ubuntu Linux on the motion, but I haven't tried it yet.

I don't have the link handy but you should be able to find it in Google.

Thanks to everyone for all of the suggestions and comments. I have finally made a decision on a new phone! : )

I have enjoyed Android, but I have decided to go with an unlocked iphone 5s for my second smart phone and move from MetroPCS to Cricket Wireless, as Cricket is offering a $100 credit to one's account if one moves from either Metro or T-Mobile. The $100 will help offset the $550 I paid for the 5s. I do not imagine that Cricket's service will be any worse or better than Metro's. If Cricket turns out to be worse then Metro, I can always move back to Metro next year.

I enjoyed my LG Motion (my very first smart phone) and will try to put it to good use per your suggestions, but I am looking forward to using the 5s. It should arrive one day next week. I am so excited to receive it and start using it! It should prove a good matching device to my MacBook.

I have been reading about how having the 64GB with the 5s is great for storing pictures, music, and movies. The pictures and music part make sense to me, but who screens movies on a screen that small? I am comfortable enough screening DVDs on my MacBook Air, which is only a 13+ inch screen, but I cannot imagine screening a film on a tiny mobile phone screen! How many of you use your mobile to screen films?? Do you not find it uncomfortable trying to watch a film on a screen that small??

I watch tv shows and YouTube on my 4.5 inch lg l70. It does bother my eyes looking at a small screen this closely for two hours, though. But the screen looks good that close, I can't tell a difference.
