Help Landscape keyboard re-sizing

My girlfriends Razr M just started experiencing something out of the ordinary that I hope I can get help with. In landscape mode while typing, the keyboard changes sizes mid-typing. Its like all of the sudden the keys all get larger. It usually seems to occur after the end of a sentence or line break. It is a major annoyance because it causes her to hit the wrong keys upon re-sizing. Any help is greatly appreciated and will earn me lots of points!

Is she holding it almost "level" to where it is shifting from landscape to portrait?
