Lapdock 500 for $150

I went for it. I already have the 100, but figured, eh what the heck.

You could have gone all day w/o saying that as I've been thinking about doing the same thing. Will be interested to see what you think of the 500 versus the 100.

we'll see if it even ships! This deal got around fast and im not sure that verizon has enough of these to go around. I really like the fact that its a 14" screen, and it has a headphone jack. I am used to using the one on the phone now, but id really like the extra 5" of cable length when flying. Ill be sure to post up any thoughts after i get it.

Anyone who got the lapdock 500 for that price is very lucky. I have the Atrix lapdock and it's my most used accessory ever. I love the idea of the lapdock and hopefully soon it'll be more mainstream because it's so darn efficient. :D

According to FedEx, mine is at the local sort facility and will be delivered tomorrow! I'll post up a review once I get it! Psyched!

My Lapdock 500 arrived yesterday and I can confirm it works with the Bionic. Very pleased so far! Screen, speakers, SD card reader and USB ports all work. A few features are missing on the Bionic -- webcam, VGA-out and Ethernet port -- but they may be supported in a future update. I'm not too concerned with any of them -- the webcam would be a neat feature but it's not a deal-breaker.

The only issue I've noticed so far is that Netflix and other video apps display upside-down when the phone is mounted in the tray. If you remove the phone from the tray and lay it flat, video displays normally. I Googled this and discovered it's not a Bionic issue but a bug with the 500 in general, even with the RAZR. Moto has acknowledged it and stated it will be fixed in a future update. The workaround of laying the phone flat works fine so it's not a big deal for now.

Overall it's a great device, especially for that price!
