I had no idea that Android tablets were out (this is what happens when you work 60+ hours a week). Let alone the low price point (expected $500+)
Winter layoff is when I catch up on the latest and greatest.
I refuse to get an i-(thing), and not thrilled about another Windows product, though it is not entirely out of the question.
What I am looking for is a tablet with a large touch screen (equivilant to a 8.5" x 11") for mostly work related stuff. Viewing PDF documents, pictures, WiFi and Bluetooth capable, expandable memory, and...viewable in outside daylight.
Primary use is going to be reading service and repair manuals (PDF), and electrical & hydraulic schematics.
Other needs;
Touchscreen keyboard for taking notes/composing emails
Drag screen (for viewing zoomed in views)
Auto rotate (portrait-landscape)
A giant version of my Droid would be ideal (sans slide out keyboard)
Anything reliable out there, or wait for technology to catch up? I noticed Motorola is coming out with one, but very little info other than visual teasers.
If I can still get it on this years taxes (work expense) the better.
Recommendations anyone?
