Latest Update for HTC DESIRE

Hey guys,

I just purchased my HTC Desire, its Factory unlocked and I just want to confirm the latest version of the device.

mine is

Firmware Version: 2.1 update 1
Software Number: 1.21.405.2

also when froyo does come officialy, will I be able to use OTA to install it? as the device I am using is not from my region, I believe it is from the UK and I'm using in Dubai - will this affect the OTA?

That's the right version. The OTA may not work but HTC provide a downloadable version and you can do it via a PC.
 
I ordered my Desire from the UK as I am currently in India on contract. I have received 2 OTA updates since I got the phone in April. I know it isn't such a big update as Froyo, but OTA does work here for phones from UK.
 
I'm a virgin customer too on 1.15, am I right in thinking then that any updates come via virgin and not direct OTA from HTC ?

Have used the " check for updates " button and my desire tells me that no updates are available - but if the latest version is 1.21 is that right ?
 
Hi I'm from Viet Nam and I got my desire for nearly 2 weeks.My build version is 1.19.707.7,but when I used the button check for updates nothing came up.It said that my phone was up to date so If you say that your version is 1.21 how can I update to that version without using OTA.
