Help Latest update forces HTC Sense UI on Evo 4g Fix?

So I've updated to the most recent version (mistake, wont happen again) and suddenly, I can no longer set any other launcher as my home and default. Even after doing so with an app like Home Switcher, pressing the home button returns me to the default Sense UI. Does anyone have a fix for this?

You could try clearing the cache and data for htc sense, in menu-settings-applications-manage. If that doesnt work, you may need to do a factory reset.

I've yet to do a factory reset, will this return the phone to its original firmware version?

Yes, it should.

keep in mind that anything on your phone (not on the sd card) will be wiped by doing a factory reset.
