Launcher Background Wallpaper

Hi there,

I am planning to get an S3 soon and would like to know from fellow users whether the default launcher wallpaper can be changed. In other words I do not like the standard light blue colored background but prefer something darker (pls refer the attached image). I know that the home screen wallpaper can be personalized :) cheers to all ... :smokingsomb:

Yes the background on the Lock Screen and Home Screens can be changed to any picture/photo you want. Settings/Display/Wallpaper.
 
The homescreens are part of the launcher. Do you mean the app drawer (also part of the launcher)?

Hi SUroot, thanks for the reply and sorry for my terms/wordings (new to android :p Yeah, what I mean is the exactly the app drawer (the lsit of apps that will show up as soon as the "Menu" icon is touched.
 
OK thanks for clarifying. I use an alternative launcher myself (Go Launcher) but a quick test with the default Launcher (Touchwiz Home), the app drawer seems to use whatever wallpaper your homescreen is using. It doesnt appear like it can be independently controlled.
 
The only way to achieve this is to use a home launcher. I have used many and prefer ADW Laucher Ex. This is the paid version. But there is also a almost as good free version. This is an app that doesn't use many resources and is fast. You can change pretty much anything.
 
U use Go, SU?
i used it for years then bought Nova Prime in the 25p sale n havent looked back.
GO stil has the most functions (well only i can think of 1) but its so bloated now and Nova is so snappy in comparison.
I still use Go Contacts and SMS though :)
 
@OP, in my case anyway, i doubt youll find yourself in the app drawer much anyway, youll end up with folders on your homescreen or (if outside US) just using search to find the app.
App drawer is really just for making your s3 look like a huge cute iphone lol ;)

Yeah I do. I did try Nova and Apex but I didnt find them any snappier. I love my Go functions too so no need to change for me. Go was a bit snaggy in ICS but since project butter its really smooth for me.

i echo this ive tried both Nova and Apex but now with Go i wont change it does everything I could want
