Help Launcher install issues.

I just got my wifi model today and so far I'm loving it! I guess I'm a launcher lover as I have/bought Go Launcher, Launcher Pro Plus and ADW Launcher on my DX. However I can't find those in the market when I search from my xoom. I found them on appbrain but when I then chose "market" and clicked "install" it said it couldn't locate it.


How do I install any of these launchers? Which is the most stable on the Xoom?
 
member rj uses a launcher. im not sure which..

those apps are not optimized for honey yet. this is why they are showing up for direct install onto the xoom. you can try spare parts from the market, install it and it may let you load up a launcher...
 
Hmmm...I installed spare parts but all it does is show battery stats? I only see the one app, named that?

Edit - if you use this program in landscape you don't see the 2additional animations options but I still don't see anything about seeing full screen. (?)
 
Hmm, not sure what I'm doing wrong. I downloaded spare parts. When turned in portrait I see the following options:
- battery history
- battery info
(both of the above FC when I select them)
- usage statistics (this gives application usage - no options to select other than sorting)
- window animations
- transition animations
(both of the animations options only allow for setting the speed of the animation - no setting for compatibility)
- then there is an ad banner
- I see the menu button at the bottom, but selecting it does nothing.

This is the only 'spare parts' I see in the market. I wonder if he changed it?

...sigh...
 
Well, after playing with this for a while, I was able to get Go Launcher installed. I searched for the apk file via Google, then downloaded it, then used astro file manager to install it. I haven't really tested it yet but it worked like a charm!
