Root Launcher Pro Installed, Stock Removed

So I downloaded Launcher Pro and Move it to system apps, then I deleted the stock one, well I added BAK and move it to my sims card. Phone is working like norm. But regardless is this safe to do, or a Bad Idea. I have to say I like this one alot more, but if its now safe, then Ill revert my changes. What do you guys and Gals think?

It's not a problem. I end up removing the stock launcher on most roms and stick with my trusty adw launcher. I haven't really had a problem yet. Although if you are worried, back up the stock launcher in Titanium Backup, then uninstall (or freeze) it. Restoring it (if ever needed) would be just a click away.

I BAK everything and move it to my sims card in a file called BAK.. lol. Already did it. is the ADW launcher better then launcher pro?

It's really a matter of preference. ADW seems to have a bit more pre-made themes out there for it.

I prefer LP though. It has a very light footprint and does everything I need it to.

Do a little research into what each does and what it is you want to customize. Which ever one truly meets your needs is where you want to go.

BTW, good idea with backing everything up like that. I no longer make Titanium app backups anymore. I just make a CWM backup whenever I make a major change since I have a 16GB SD card. But if space is a big deal, you can always move your extra image backups to pc if needed.

I am not sure about ADW, but with LP I get my theme just like I want and then make a backup of the theme using LP's built in backup app.
