Im rather surprised people are getting frequent FC's. I used to get them quite often about a dozen updates back but not anymore.

There is one thing I am a little confused about. I purchased the Plus version, and had to revert to the free version due to constant force closes.
I still have the Paid version on my SD Card, it's just not installed. So if he releases updates to the software that may correct the FC issues, aside from checking his website, is there any way I will be notified?
And if updates are released, will I have to download the .apk like I did for the Plus version?
Loving LP now that I have gone back to the free version. But I would like access to the new widgets as they come available, seeing as I have paid for Plus.

Go to market and pull up "your downloads." Does it say you have an LP update? It should. Now go HERE
Maybe you've done that already. In your LP "preferences" you'll have an option to "UNLOCK plus" where you can enter the code. Be sure to check spam filter/box in your email for the code. You will now be able to receive updates to "Plus version" through market. Hope this helps

I've been getting a ton of force closes but I just bought it last night because it's been such a great app. I know he'll iron out the kinks very soon.

Ahh ok that stinks. I haven't had one FC with LP since I upgraded to "plus". Some app is just not playing nice with your LP.
As for getting an older version I would think if you could find the apk to one of them you could simply install it. I've never done this with an app, but people do it all the time and then don't update it. Hopefully one of the more experienced Android users can chime in here. Keep us posted!

I use the free LP and its so smoooth, never had a force close.... don't need any new widgets as everything I need is free in the marketplace. I finally have everything set up perfect. Absolutely blazing fast, battery lasts over 2 days, no sense running in the background, and looks awesome with all the customized icons and uncluttered screens. I might buy the plus version to help the dev out but won't use it.

If you have the Plus version, you can now update from the Market and today's update includes a new Bookmark widget that loads from the stock Android browser. There are 4 different versions of the widget. It could only be better if you could choose which browser to load bookmarks from.

I use Skyfire and it loaded my bookmarks up. I assume it either loads your default browser OR skyfire shares bookmarks with stock.
THANK YOU for letting us know this was the update, I am so psyed I bought this!
Also, there are bookmark widget settings in the preferences menu. Get thumbnails and sorting order.

Somebody announced something about Froyo coming out for the Incredible before August. I'm not going to post a link because I don't care about any of you, but won't Sense running on 2.2 not only be far superior to whatever LauncherProPlus has to offer, but also free? I'm all for supporting devs, but only when it makes sense. I could have turned that into a pun, but it wouldn't have made Sense. That's better.

I actually got the full version because I wanted to support the developer for all his hard work. His first 2 widgets are solid, which is a nice bonus. He is very responsive to ideas/problems. Also, $2.99 is very cheap in case he adds some really nice plus only improvements. The price will be going up.

Two FC's since the update last night, never had any before this. I added the bookmark widget but the first FC happened before I knew about the new widget.

If I have purchased the the plus version and downloaded it at as 0.7.0. anytime I update from the marketplace it will still recognize that its the "plus" version or should I update from the downloaded link?

With the release of Launcher Pro+ the end user has been able to change the background of the dock. I wanted my dock to match my Beautiful Widgets clock so I grabbed the background image from my favorite clock and opened up Photoshop. The results are below as well as link to a zip file with the three background images and instructions in case anyone wold like to use them.
Solid Dark Glass

Segmented Dark Glass, my Personal favorite.
I added a folder to my images folder on my SD Card named "Dock Backgrounds" and then added the images to it. You can make the change to your dock by doing the following; Menu>>Preferences>>Appearance Settings>>Dock Background>>Custom>>Dock Backgrounds>>touch preferred image>>back arrow>>back arrow. You're done, enjoy yet another customizable feature of your Android phone.
